Hi, my name is Brittany DeCosta and I am the reason behind 'Coloring For A Cause'. I am a student who loves to color to relax and wind down from stress and simply for fun. I am also a type one diabetic and heavily affected by diabetes, thyroid disease, celiac disease, and depression. It doesn't stop there though; friends and family of mine have been affected by cancer of various types, leukemia, cystic fibrosis, and other conditions and diseases. My ambition to make a difference in others' lives and do it in a creative way is what brought about 'Coloring for a Cause'.
Coloring for a Cause is a non-profit charity aiming to collect coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, markers, paper, and other such materials to donate to children in long-term and short-term hospitalization care and their families and siblings that have to suffer too.
Never once have I met a child that does not like to color or draw or be imaginative and creative. Hospitals have limited amounts of craft supplies and things for children to decorate their rooms with; 'Coloring for a Cause' will enable children to have fun drawings and pictures to decorate their rooms with and simply help to put a smile on their faces while they wait for cures and treatment.
